Tercet Law
A quiet conference room

How it works

Five steps. Unhurried, and clear.

From the first conversation to a signed, funded plan in three to four weeks, at a pace that respects your life.

The process

What happens, in order.

01

The call

A confidential 30-minute conversation. What you have, who you are responsible for, what you want to happen, and what it will cost. No charge.

02

The design

We recommend the plan that fits, not the biggest one. You get a flat fee in writing and a short list of what we need from you.

03

The drafting

Will, trust, directive and powers of attorney drafted to fit. You read every page before the signing, and we explain every clause you ask about.

04

The signing

A signing meeting with witnesses and a notary arranged. Then we fund the trust with you: deeds, accounts and beneficiary designations.

05

The keeping

Your documents delivered, originals and copies. We check in when life changes, and update the plan when it should change with you.

What we will ask for

A short list, not a mountain of paperwork.

  • Who is in your life: spouse, children, parents, anyone you provide for.
  • What you own, roughly: home, accounts, retirement, business, insurance.
  • Who you trust to act for you, and who should inherit.
  • Any existing documents, so nothing gets drafted twice.

What changes

When it is done.

Your wishes are in writing.

Who decides, who inherits, and where everything is.

Your estate stays private.

A funded trust keeps it out of the courthouse.

Your family has a guide.

One attorney who already knows the plan.

Four generations of hands resting together on a table

Start with the call.

Thirty minutes, confidential, no charge.
